The Women Lawyers Association of the ACT is proud to host the Annual Law Week Dinner, with special guest Azmeena Hussain, Principal at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and a passionate social justice advocate. The Law Week Dinner is a unique opportunity for WLA members and friends to meet and enjoy a special evening together.

Azmeena is the Deputy Chair of InTouch Multicultural Centre against Family Violence, Deputy Chair of the Islamic Museum of Australia, and Non-Executive Director of Football Victoria. She is also the Chair of Maurice Blackburn’s National Cultural Diversity Network.
She is listed in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide as a preeminent Australian personal injuries lawyer and is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist as well as a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Azmeena is also an outgoing Director and Trustee of the Victorian Womens’ Trust, Advisor to Victoria Police, Chief Commissioner's Human Rights Strategic Advisory Committee, Judge on the Australia Day Awards, AFL Multicultural Ambassador, Vice President of the Office for Women at the Islamic Council of Victoria and Director of the Southern Migrant Resource Centre. In 2015 and 2017, she was awarded a Victorian Women’s Governance scholarship by the Victorian Government.
