International Women's Day is fast approaching and we have just the event to mark the occasion!

We warmly invite you to join us at the ACT Law Society on Friday, 6 March 2026 between 12:00 pm to 2:00pm for a special International Women’s Day lunch co-hosted by the Women Lawyers Association ACT and the ACT Law Society. We are especially delighted to welcome Professor Heather Elliott (Academic at the University of Alabama and former law clerk to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg) as our keynote speaker (for a 12:30pm start).

 Over a light lunch provided by the altruistic Stepping Stone Cafe, Professor Elliott will share considered reflections on leadership, equality and the rule of law within democratic institutions, followed by a moderated Q&A. This event forms part of the ACT Law Society’s March Mastery programme and is designed to foster collegiality and thoughtful discussion across our profession.
