Liz Huang Hughes-Brown on winning at the 2016 ACT Women Lawyers Awards

‘Winning Woman Lawyer of the Year 2016 in the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) & Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander category was a great confidence boost at a time when I had recently started my own legal practice, Welcome Legal, as a sole practitioner.  I provide advice and assistance to the community and to other legal practitioners about Australian immigration and citizenship law.  It is satisfying to see the firm go from strength to strength and I’m proud to now be a CALD woman employing other CALD women.  I would highly encourage entering the 2018 Awards.’

~ Liz Huang Hughes-Brown, Founder and Principal Lawyer at Welcome Legal

We encourage all women lawyers in the ACT to nominate themselves, their workplace and their colleagues for the upcoming 2018 Awards and join us in celebrating the achievements of women lawyers!

Details on how to nominate can be found on our website. Winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on 26 October at the National Gallery of Australia, for which tickets are now on sale.
